About the Hostess
Sasha Bernard is a Public Health Specialist based in Trinidad & Tobago. She completed her BSc in Biology at the University of the Southern Caribbean following which she graduated from Loma Linda University in California with a Master of Public Health degree in Global Health and was inducted as a member of the Delta Omega Honors Society in 2017. In 2021 she began her doctoral journey and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) Degree in Health Education. Her career has been defined by a passion for helping people by improving their health outcomes and reducing disparities through innovative interventions and initiatives.

Garfene Grandison is a Jamaican corporate communications executive with a penchant for media and community engagement. Born in St. Mary, Jamaica, Garfene developed a passion for media and communication from a young age working with both media houses in Jamaica. Grandison began his career in media as an entertainment journalist, working at several media houses in Jamaica. His charismatic personality and engaging style quickly made him a favorite among Jamaica growing social media community. He used his platform to promote locally made businesses, share news and positive updates, and addressing social issues affecting the Jamaican community.
With his growing prominence, Garfene ventured into corporate communications where he became well-known for his ability to curate diverse and exciting ideas, experiences and stories. His commitment to the corporate communications industry, coupled with his growing social media presence and dedication to community development, has made him a respected figure in Jamaica. Through his various media platforms and initiatives, he continues to make a significant impact on the Jamaican social media/media landscape, inspiring and supporting the next generation creators and young leaders.
